II. Cut: The cut of a moissanite refers to its proportions, brilliance and symmetrical shape. The cut of a moissanite determines its beauty and refractive index.
III. Color: Although moissanite is usually colorless, its refraction reflects shades of yellow, green or gray.
IV. Clarity: The clarity of a moissanite depends on its inclusions. Inclusions are tiny white or black specks present inside the diamond, minor flaws that got stuck inside the diamond during its formation due to extreme heat and pressure. The higher the inclusions, the more opaque the stone. Diamonds have a high rate of inclusions because they are natural in origin, while moissanite inclusions are not as pronounced because they are manufactured in a laboratory. There are five types of inclusions.
1 Flawless (F) or Internally Flawless (IF)
2 Very Very Slightly Included (VVS)
3 Very Slightly Included (VS)
4 Slight Inclusion (SI)
